Parent Organization: Registered Student Organizations
As a student run non-profit organization at Colorado State University, Global Awareness and International Affairs Club(GAIA) aims to equip students with the skills and opportunities required to gain cultural perspectives and become dynamic agents in the
These skills include intra-organization communication, event planning and public outreach, all of which are essential to a well rounded international employee.
Intra-organization communication is vital to maintain a cohesive unit with constant momentum towards our goal. We hold weekly meetings and host events on a bi-weekly basis, all of which are carefully coordinated and executed by our members.
Event planning holds a strong focus, as we are aimed to improve cultural perspectives. This includes international and domestic student mixers, international film showings, career panels and speaker venues.
Finally, public outreach is paramount to creating and sustaining a strong membership base. Our members actively seek out professors, department heads and other Colorado State University organizations to promote our mission, make bonds and build connections. We also work extensively with International house and the INTO program in order to connect international students with our club.
By providing a forum to learn and implement these skills, GAIA offers its members a structure to access the many opportunities for international career development available from Colorado State University to Fort Collins and beyond. It is with these skills and opportunities, we at GAIA hope to support future world citizens and guide them towards meaningful global careers.
